A voice artist for more than 20 years, Susan Murphy has been around a mic from quiet some time now. She has been narrated several episodes of WNET’s “Treasures of New York” series and two local documentaries for Rhode Island Public Television. Museum audio voices, medical and dental narrations, TV station imaging and the occasional commercial are all in Murphy’s repertoire. She was the founding program director for Shadow Traffic New York. In New York she has worked at WOR, WLTW, WPLJ, the Unistar Radio Network and 1010WINS.
But it all started at a college radio… just like Julio and JD.

Special thanks to Julio Avila, a.k.a. the deep voice you hear, but don’t see, echoing through the Union basement, WUSB Music Director Mike Gusev, our eager new engineer Dave Donovan, JD Allen for production, our Executive Producer Lauren Fetter and our guest: the eloquent Susan Murphy.
