Summer is coming and with that comes new cosmetic collections for summer. But, just because they’re new, doesn’t mean that you have to pay $50 for one eye shadow or $30 for a mascara at Sephora or Macy’s, because let’s face it, you should never have to spend $90 on two products. The fact is you shouldn’t have to pay any where near those prices. You can find one of the summer’s hottest colors, turquoise, for only $5.99 from Rimmel London.
The beautiful turquoise, which I absolutely love, comes in a wristlet friendly pallet (the summer collections contains eight new pallets). The one containing turquoise is called Royal Blue. The pallet is in the design of a British flag and it comes with four other colors including a dark blue, a shimmery white and a shimmery black. You can use to make an easy transition from day to night by adding the dark blue to your crease and the black in the outer corner of your eye, blending it with the dark blue. The colors go on smooth and creamy, but you do need to use a primer to ensure the colors stays on and vibrant all day otherwise it will fade by the end of the day.
There can be a slight crumble of the palate where small amounts of one color would fall into the other. Don’t try to remove it with your hands, just give it a little blow, and it’s gone without affecting the other colors.
As you can tell in the photo the turquoise is absolutely beautiful. On a side note the under eye concealer that I’m wearing in the photo is actually their new Match Perfection 2-1 Concealer that actually comes with a brush applicator attached to the tube so you don’t have to get your hands dirty or take up extra room in your cosmetic bag with a foundation brush. I found that the concealer works just as well as Smashbox’s, but Match Perfection is only $5.99 as opposed to Smashbox’s $20 – you can guess which one I’m returning.
I’m also wearing their new mascara: Scandalous Volume Mascara for only $6.99. the Sandalous Volume Mascara brush is huge, but works extremely well. Every time I’ve used it my lashes were separated and to my surprise NO clumps. If anything one eye had the tip to two lashes stuck together. It gives great volume, no more than their Volume Accelerator Mascara, but the definition and separation is better and like I said, I found no clumps with the Volume Flash Scandal Eyes.
So if you want volume defined lashes and one of the summer’s hottest colors, turquoise, in an easy-to-go and easy to transition from day-to-night pallet with prices that won’t break you bank account defiantly check out Rimmel London, you won’t be disappointed!
