DNCE is coming to SBU.
The pop group , led by frontman and former Jonas Brother Joe Jonas, will headline Stony Brook’s annual Spring concert. The group, which besides Jonas features Cole Whittle, JinJoo Lee and Jack Lawless, is known for their song ‘Cake by the Ocean,’ which was released in 2015.
Rapper Joey Bada$$ will also be performing at this year’s Brookfest, the rapper and Brooklyn native released his debut mixtape in 2012 and has gone on to find popularity in the rap genre. He is also a founding member of the hip-hop collective Pro Era. Their music can be found on the group’s YouTube page.
In addition to DNCE and Joey Bada$$, Allison Wonderland will share the Brookfest stage. Wonderland, whose real name is Alex Sholler, a Sydney, Australia native and EDM artist is best known for her single “I Want U,” released in 2014.
Stony Brook University’s annual Spring concert put on by the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) will take place on April 30 in the SAC Parking Lot. Doors open at 1 PM. Tickets can be reserved through the USG Google Form beginning at 10 p.m. on March 22.
