Almost everyone cares about getting the best grades possible to maintain that perfect GPA in college. But how can you do that without looking like the ultimate suck up or, as people call it, the “teacher’s pet?” Well, have no fear because I have advice that will surely get you on your professor’s good side while maintaining your cool status.
Here are five ways to impress your professors without looking like their pet:
1. Be on time!
One thing that aggravates a professor is constantly showing up late to class. Make sure you’re on time, even if it means running down the halls like a madman. A professor will respect the effort you take in making it to class. You won’t look like a teacher’s pet because even jobs require you to be on time.
2. Make sure you study your chapters before class so you can show you know your stuff
If you are confident in your classes, you will make an impression. Professors care more about the students who care. No one likes to waste their breath, so show that you’re engaged.
3. Improve your grades
Even if you bring up your grade by one letter, professors love to see the effort. In college, you’ll find that a lot of your final grade is based on your improvement throughout the semester.
4. Pay attention in class
I know staying off of your electronics while in class can be tough, especially during those boring lectures. However, if you manage to keep focus during class, your professor will greatly appreciate it.
5. Stay awake during class
Be sure to get enough rest the night before so you will be energized for class the next day. Nobody wants to see you drooling on your desk, especially your professor.
